How You Provide Consent
You consent to receive SMS text messages from Cotten Law Firm, PLLC when you:
- 1.Online Case Lookup: Check the "I consent to receive SMS text messages" checkbox when entering your contact information at portal.cottenfirm.com/lookup. This checkbox is separate from other agreements and clearly describes the types of messages you will receive.
- 2.Online Payment: Check the "I consent to receive SMS text messages" checkbox on the payment page at portal.cottenfirm.com/payment. This is a standalone checkbox, separate from our fee agreement.
- 3.In-Person/Phone Intake: Provide your phone number to our staff and verbally confirm you want to receive text messages about your case. Staff will document your consent.
✓ Clear Opt-In: SMS consent is always collected via a separate, clearly-labeled checkbox or explicit verbal confirmation. It is never bundled with other agreements or pre-checked.
What We Will NOT Send

- ✗Messages unrelated to your legal matter
- ✗Your information will NEVER be shared with third parties for marketing

Your phone number and all communications are protected by attorney-client privilege and our Privacy Policy. We do not sell, share, or rent your phone number to any third parties.
